The Argentine-Austrian soprano Daniela Tabernig is one of the most acclaimed opera singers of her generation. Praised for the expressive ability of her voice, particularly in the lirico spinto repertoire, she has a remarkable international career.

She is the winner of the Best Singer Award, granted by the Music Critics Association of the Konex Foundation of Argentina for being one of the five most important singers of the decade.

Daniela was born in Santa Fe, Argentina and currently resides in Malaga, Spain. She graduated with honours both from The Teatro Colón Institute in Buenos Aires, Argentina and from The National Conservatory “Maria Callas” in Athens, Greece.

Daniela has appeared in leading roles at Teatro Colón in Argentina, and productions in Brasil, Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, Greece, Colombia, EEUU, Spain and China. She has been a featured soloist in major concert pieces such as Gioachino Rossini‘s “Petite Messe Solennelle” and “Stabat Mater”, John Rutter´s “Requiem”, Richard Strauss “Vier Letzte Lieder”, Ludwig van Beethoven‘s “Missa Solemnis”, Gustav Mahler´s Eighth Symphony, Franz Joseph Haydn‘s “Die Jahersrzeiten”, Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem and Shostakovich’s Fourteen Symphony.

Daniela has worked with many distinguished musicians, such as Andrés Orozco Estrada, Christian Badea, Marc Piollet, Julian Kuerti, Srba Dinic, Carlos Vieu, Enrique Arturo Diemecke, Mario Perusso, Alejo Pérez, Cristian Baldini, Carmen Morales, Baldur Brönnimann, Wolfgang Wengenroth, Lucia Zicos, Emilio Sagi, José Cura, Marcelo Lombardero, Pablo Maritano, Rita Cosentino, Pedro Salazar, André Heller-Lopes, Alejandro Tantanian and Rubén Szuchmacher.
